Senior Citizens goes to South Korea – Day 7 (Everland): September 20, 2017

“If wrinkles must be written upon our brows, let them not be written upon the heart. The spirit should never grow old.”

James A. Garfield

I totally agree with him. We are on our 7th day but our spirits are still on the highest level. My parents are not yet exhausted and still have energy to visit the largest theme park in South Korea. One of my favorite place in fact in South Korea, Everland. Located at the Everland Resort in Yongin, a city in Gyeonggi-do. It receives 7.3 million visitors annually and was ranked sixteenth in the world for amusement park attendance in 2014 according to Wikipedia.

I bought our Daily Pass with 40% discount thru Funtastic Korea. At present, the website is under construction. I also bought Q-Pass for Amazon Express, my favorite attraction because I do not want to waste our time in long queues.

Everland is divided into five theme zones: Global Fair, Zoo-Topia, European Adventure, Magic Land and American Adventure. Everland is too big for my parents to explore so I prepared itinerary that they can enjoy. Zoo-Topia is the perfect zone for them. It is a combination of zoo and fun rides.

There is a heavy rain, when we arrived in Everland. No choice, our first itinenary, buy umbrella. The rain did not last long, it stopped after I paid the umbrella. Well, It will served as souvenir. We continued walking towards Zoo-topia while taking photos along the way. It is a steep road going down. Though, there is walkalator but it is going up only.

September is already halloween in Everland

Slowly, we arrived in Panda World. There are two Giant Panda or Panda Bear. The bigger Panda Bear is sleeping while the other one is barely awake.

2nd Attraction: Amazon Express. We are very thankful to the staff because they helped my mother in riding and get off the moving boat. It is cool splash of water along the 580 meter long water path. We had so much fun.

3rd Attraction: Safari World. A Wild Safari, featuring Lions, the kings of the grasslands; Tigers, the kings of the jungle; and adorable Bears offers visitors the rare opportunity to meet wide variety of animails at a close distance. This is the only place I saw a Bear standing while eating grass fed by the bus driver. They even walked along the bus to catch the food.

The smile on our faces, tells it all…

4th Attraction: Lost Valley. Enjoy the fantastic safari adventures aboard the world’s first specialized convertible amphibian vehicle. Move from water to land through the land of Mother Nature where approximately 150 unique animal species roam freely.

‘We are enjoying the encounter with the animals.
Snack Time: Spicy Chicken, Fish Cake and Tteokbokki.

We also went to VR Ghost House, It is very scary and some times I closed my eyes specially when the White Lady aka Sadako is walking towards me. I screamed a lot but it is so much fun.

T Express is the most recommended attraction in Everland. It is the steepest ride in the world with a top speed of 104 km per hour at a 77 degree angle. The world’s superb wooden roller coaster will leave you with unforgettable memories that you can treasure forever. But roller coaster is not for me. I am already happy watching other people enjoying this ride. I even screamed with them while watching. We waited the Moonlight Parade in front of Royal Jubilee Carousel in European Adventure Zone.

It is indeed a very fun day for us. Another fun memory that I will treasure forever.
