As the new season of The Voice Belgium starts next January, it’s time for young aspirants’ singers to make their voices shine.
The new season of The Voice Belgium is right around
the corner. The new coaches were announced in August and there are some changes
in the air. Slimane, Vitaa and Matthew Irons are back in their seats for
another season but there is a new addition to the show, Typh Barrow, a Belgian
singer. She will replace BJ Scott, who was on the show for the past 7 seasons.
The show offers all the contestants exposure and an open window into the world of music. Some of the competitors want to flirt with fame at a really young age. And some of them have succeeded. Many former contestants have indeed inspired this year’s young talents to try out for the show.
An audition can change everything
Every year, The Voice Belgium gives us unforgettable performances and it always starts with the auditions (the first step of the show).
In 2014, a 18 year old candidate named Loïc Nottet impressed the coaches and the public with an outstanding audition. Although he didn’t win the show that year, he was chosen 6 months later to represent Belgium at the Eurovision. At the Eurovision, he also shined and won the fourth place of the competition. His singing and dancing really dazzled the whole crowd. Since then, his first album has come out and he has a lot of success in Belgium and in France too!
Another contestant blew away the public in the third
edition of the TV show. In 2015, Alice Dutoit was only 19 when she realized a
dream: singing and performing in front of the public. Her personality
immediately seduced the coaches and she made it to the semi-finals. Since then,
she has made 2 albums and she often perform in concert, which is basically the
dream of every young person who wants to break into music!
Last year’s winner, Valentine Brognion, was still a
student when she auditioned for the show. Her unique voice and personality helped
her to win that season and she is now working on her first album, which will
hopefully be out very soon!
Talents are everywhere
The TV show also exists in different European
countries, and there are young talents that shine in those countries too. In
France, for example, the singer Louane became really famous after her
appearance on the French version of the show when she was just 16. Now she is
an idol for a lot of teenagers, and she plays in French movies.
Kendji Girac also became famous when he was just 16! He won the third season of
The Voice France with more than 51% of the votes!
The Voice encourage the young talents to audition for
the show, because they usually win the public’s heart and they go really far in
their career. So, if your dream is to sing, don’t be afraid and go for it! You
just have to record a video of you singing your favourite song and post it on
The Voice’s website. If you make a good impression, you will surely be chosen
to be part of the next season. And who knows? Maybe you will realize your dream
and know the same career as the young talents that we mentioned above. Good
